I am refurbishing a 313 and it looks as if some of the fiber separators are missing from the leaf switch. There four square separators where the screw attaches the switch to the base but only one button separator (see photo).  Shouldn't there be one button separator for each layer of the switch?

thanks

I believe what you have is correct.  The button prevents leaves from ever coming in contact. When the bridge operates the first and second leafs and the third and forth leafs make up two sets of contacts.  The button prevents the second and third leafs from coming contact, which would just connect everything together.  From memory the two separate sets of contacts turn the track on and off and turn the bridge lift motor on and off.

Making progress but...

Took it all apart, cleaned, greased, oiled and reassembled things but I can't get tension on the spring which I assume is supposed to help lift the bridge by contracting then slow the lowering of the bridge by expanding.  No tension, no help, what am I missing?  Did I mount the lever assembly wrong - see photo, how low hangs the bar that connects the lever assembly to the spring.  Suggestions?

Thx
