A BIG Thank You to the OGR Family

I totally agree with you. 

While we all still might have our preferences - collecting/operating, traditional/scale, command/conventional - it sure is nice to be able to escape all the news/ all the time that seems to bombard us over the TV and internet. 

It sure is nice to have a place to have civil conversations with other forumites, even when we might not agree on stuff!

I completely agree. It appears almost everyone in this country has completely lost their minds! I love the non-political atmosphere here. Thanks to the mods for keeping it that way!

I agree, too. I really dodge the news as much as possible so I have not watched TV for almost 9 years now, don't get any newspapers but do read a fewer(and fewer) news stories on several  websites. It seems as if the country is heading for a nervous breakdown. My trains in several forms are my escape.  Working in the media, you have my sympathy but you got to eat.

I agree with everyone.  Thank you Rich and staff for providing a safe haven for us to discuss our hobby interests and forget our problems for a while.

I have strong religious and political views. I choose not to broadcast them in cyber space; nor am I interested in others' unsolicited opinions.

I come to OGR Forum to learn and share our experiences with O-gauge trains. I truly enjoy the varied biases within our hobby, about our hobby. We are all owners of our individual railroads, and thus can allocate our resources as each of us sees fit.

I have to agree.

However, if I get sick of my local Congressman, I expect the endorsement of other OGR forum members in the area when I run against him/her.   (Just kidding).

The only problem is you can't escape the insanity once you log off and turn on the TV.

I am also in total agreement as this forum and everyone here has helped keep me sane , although my wife might not agree about the sanity part. I am also tempted to sell all my TVs , getting rid of my newspaper subscription and using any money toward more trains.

They rolled out of the Reading shops with a THINGAMAJIG!!!......and they were't built until 1945

Agreed...this is my shelter from the real world. 

I'll add that I have had a few issues that have been fixed by our fine group. A new MTH 2-10-4 loco was DOA....I panicked.....someone had me move the switches in the tender back and forth....ran like a champ......I kept my lunch down!!!

A big AMEN to that!  It is nice to be able to read the posts on here and not have to see political stuff...very refreshing.  Let's keep it that way.   

We are still accepting applications for citizenship up here.  It looks almost identical to the picture John posted, just substitute the sand for snow.
