Adding TMCC to bascule bridge

One of the recent lionel catalogues listed another issue of the 313 bascule bridge, and mentioned it could be upgraded to TMCC.

I have the earlier reissue from the '90's, and was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade this version as well. Has anybody out there done this yet?

I have a bascule bridge sound system from ITT, but the 313 moves much too quickly in conventional mode to synchronize with the sound.
