Hi all,

I'm having trouble running my AF dual motor 360, it seems that the rear truck keeps going off the track the front is okay

but the rear doh! any ideas. I replace the two rear wheels of the front truck with Portlines hobbies vulcanite wheels, would

that cause the problems? Any ideas.

Thanks

I think you will find that all dual motored PA's only had one PM wheel per power chassis.

The PM wheel is usually fitted to the axle nearest the brushes and when looking at an upturned PA they are diagonally opposite to each chassis.

As a general rule the, GP's like the UP 372 will have two PM's per axle and these again are fitted to the axle nearest the brushes.

If you are a floor runner then this more likely to be your problem, the track may appear to be level but will probably have undulations still that you may not be aware of.

Also, being an early PA (360), the motor chassis is fixed tight into the yoke and allows very little flexible movement to compensate for imperfect track.

It is only the latter PA's that have the improved flexibility with a floating truck chassis in the yoke.

Tonight I replace the vulcanite rubber wheels with two new ones, oiled and relubed

and switched my track to the newer Gargraves and it runs a lot better, I'll have

to clean it all out again soon and recheck everything. Thank you guy's for the info

anything else let me know. These guys are always been a bit more fussy to get

to run but that's the fun of it getting these old beauty's to get them rolling again.
