AF FlyerChief remote control system

I don't believe so. The way I understand it is the FlyerChief locomotive will run on AC/DC. The remote itself will only operate the FlyerChief engine with a 18V feed to the track like the O scale version.

From what I understand Chris is 100% correct, one control per engine in this system.

that's my understanding also.  FlyerChief, like LionChief locomotives can only be controlled by the remote matched to the locomotive.  But, for example, any Polar Express FlyerChief remote will control any Polar Express FlyerChief locomotive.

The AC/DC refers to the 18v track power only.  There is no "conventional control" or other command control system (like TMCC) capabilities.

I the LionChief O gauge world, only LionChief+ has the capability of being controlled by the assigned remote or conventional control.

I don't know what remote control system it will use but you can only have one type of command control if that is what you want. Be it either an AC command control or DC command control. 

Engines may have the ability to sense what system it is on(MTH PS-3) but you can only have one system type(AC or DC) per set of tracks, at least from my understanding of command control systems. You can have multiple command control systems if they use the same voltage type; AC or DC, don't mix the two voltage types!

Another note for MTH DCS command control system, use only one voltage type per DCS TIU! Do not use AC for track 1 & DC for track 2, the TIU can't handle it!

If you have a TIU for AC power and want to use one for DCC buy a second TIU and remote.

Lion King and Flyer King systems will only operate the engine it is shipped with and is not designed to operate a multitude of engines.  It is only addressed to one locomotive not like TMCC or Legacy where you can address 99 engines to one remote.

you can run a tmcc engine with tmcc controller and the lion(flyer) chief with chief controller on same track at same time
