Steel ends starting 1917.

just not on the Milwaukee, they built their own cars, used wood ends

is it to be double door or single door?    the drawing looks like single door, but the annoucement said double door.

Will have to settle for steel ends, don't believe MTH has tooling for wood ends.

Probably,  Even  though (biting my tounge ) they are off , I will probably order 2.

I would order one of these regardless of the (in)correct ends, but the misspellings are a deal breaker.

Will there be another proof posted so we can see the spellings before committing to buy?…

The spelling is incorrect and is a deal breaker for me.  Another to a growing list of misspellings - it's not difficult to master:

No need, we are always watching..... the view count as this post keeps getting the traction it deserves........

We used this MDC (Model Die Casting, Inc.) HO model from 50 years ago to design the MTH double sheathed boxcar.  While we believe it to be an actual freight car, we were unable to find an actual picture of one.  MDC Roundhouse products generally are prototypical.  They produced wood sided passenger cars, wood reefers and steam engines, more than Athearn did for early prototypes.  Some words were spelled differently 100 years ago.  Sometimes words can be spelled differently by immigrants, putting a German spelling on an American business or product wasn’t unheard of for example.

We would be surprised if they produced a car with two misspellings, but we are going to change our production model to reflect correct spellings.

Well, that's interesting, could it be that was the spelling, right or wrong, that was put on the car when built ?
