Yesterday I went to Dynamic Hobbies in Hemet, CA. This hobby shop has a Hi-Rail layout, sells trains and boats, cars, planes that kind of stuff opposite or similar to the Model Railroad hobby. I also went to one of the SD3R members home in Murrieta, CA saw his collection of Standard Gauge tin plate, and O Gauge Tinplate. But the Maine event was going to the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA which held their 2nd swap meet of the year and this swap meet drove away lots of people who usually attend because the heat. I only saw 4 things I like, yet I had a fun time deciding what I want to buy. Both MTH Railking Steamers and these were sold by the same guy I bought a Railking Mountain earlier this year. One was a grey hound UP 4-8-4 for 215 for the engine plus 50 for the auxilary tender and a Daylight SP colored 4-6-4 for 182 and 47 for the Auxiliary tender. So after tossing a coin, using dice and other stuff to help make a decision, I bought the Hudson for 229. Both locos had 1 hour and only 5.5 miles. The Auxiliary tender I bought for the paint job, now I know this model only works with Proto-sound locos so I was fine with it, because I now have 5 SP Steamers.

Bob

He is gonna stop selling O Gauge trains because no one buys that today. He does a lot better selling N and HO because they have more modelers who model HO or N near his shop. He invited me to run on his layout in the near future.

Went as soon as they opened wanted to leave in 30 minutes but my Dad and Mike Quigg took forever looking around, my goal was to leave at 10:00 go to Portillo's in your neck of the woods and then to Dynamic Hobbies. Be glad you did not come, the Items that were postwar were over priced and the MTH Railking Steamers and diesels were priced perfectly.

They need to move the meet to December.
