Another Great Day For the LCCA

Saturday, February 22, 2014 was another great day for the LCCA! LCCA member Brad Rock represented the club and met with 18 members at the Greenberg Train show in Virginia Beach VA. LCCA member George Swartzbaugh & John Curtin were seen having fun at the LCCA table.

Meanwhile, LCCA President Elect Al Kolis, Junior Member Coordinator Vincent Kolis and Gina Kolis were having fun representing the club at the WGHOT show in Novi MI. Over 72 Members and family members stopped by the booth to talk trains. The LCCA mini-layout and display booth was right next to Lionel’s layout and display. Lionel’s layout and hands-on interactive LionChief starter sets drew a huge crowd all day long. People loved the LCAA’s Mini-layout which was designed and built by TW TrainWorx of Dallas TX. Thank you to all of the members who visited our booth and welcome to all of the new members who joined the club, including Greg Fata our newest member who joined the club today.

The WGHOT show had all kinds of fun and interactive activities for kids of all ages. From hand-car rides, to rides on Thomas the Tank trains, everyone was having fun! There was a Lego layout as well as a O-gauge layout featuring guests from outer space.

Both the Greenberg show in Virginia Beach and the WGHOT show in Novi MI are open to the public tomorrow ( Sunday, Feb 23). If you are in the area, please stop by and meet with fellow LCCA members during these shows. We hope to see you there!

Sunday, Feb 23 was another successful day for the LCCA. In Virginia Beach, VA LCCA member Brad Rock was representing the club and giving out door prizes to lucky LCCA members such as Larry Aguilar. LCCA members and guest enjoyed the modular operating layout of the local train club TOGA. Former owner of Lionel, Richard Kughn and his wife Linda stopped by the LCCA display during the WGHOT show in Novi MI. Richard and Linda greeted members and new Junior members who joined the club during the show. LCCA Junior Member Coordinator Vincent Kolis was working the booth and meeting with fellow LCCA Junior members all day. Lionel’s J Don, Reece and Matt Ashba stopped by the LCCA booth to talk trains and share in the enjoyment of LCCA’s Mini operating layout. Thank you to all of the LCCA members who stopped by our booth and welcome all of the new members who signed up this weekend. We hope you all will contribute and have some fun being a member of The Best Toy Train Club on The Planet!
