Please find my larger post on the 2 rail forum.

Didn't really look for them but I think Lionel was AWOL. MTH had a very nice large display. They seem to be concentrating on European prototype and HO but as I said I didn't ask about 3 rail releases.

there were lots of 3 rail dealers and good prices as far as I could tell.

Bachmann had there new steamer on display and nice large display of 3 rail and on3

Don: Thanks for posting the photos. I noticed the E-Z Streets in Bachmann’s Williams display in the 7th photo. Many of us have been eagerly awaiting the release of this product as they didn’t have these on display at York. The first thing I noticed is that the track sections appear to be black instead of gray like the former K-Line Superstreets. Do you recall if they are black or are the camera and my monitor playing tricks on me? The track appears to have the same connectors and the curves are the same radii as Superstreets so that they are likely interchangeable but mixing black with gray will require repainting of one or the other or both. Did they have any prices posted? I guess the long-awaited turnouts aren’t yet far enough along to have one on display.

No, they are black, not gray. I believe they will be out this summer.

Sorry I missed you Al. Also, not sure why my Weaver shot was so poor. I was trying to get the New Haven which was very well detailed.
Geeez
Don't they have security at this show?
Looking at JohnS's photo - two
suspicious looking "gentlemen" - didn't
I see pics of these two at the local post
office?? Big Grin
And the guy on the right - is he drinking
beer thru a straw?
Thanks for pics of the show. One of the
years I'll be taking the drive.
Enjoy

Don: Thanks for clarifying that. I’m interested in reading what Allan Miller and other Superstreets fans have to say about this product. Perhaps this deserves a separate thread?

Well, I can say, going only by the photos, that I'm not too keen on seeing a color change. The gray K-Line and K-Line by Lionel SuperStreets I currently have are just fine, and they easily integrate into vehicle streets made from foamcore board or other materials. Real-world streets are normally gray and almost never black.

Those of us who have a lot of the existing SuperStreets product on hand are apt to be less than enthusiastic about buying the same product in a markedly different color. I'm kind of glad I stocked up on the original stuff while the gettin' was good. I may even pick up a few more sections of the "older" stuff from a dealer who has some stock.

IF/WHEN they offer switches and wider-radius curves in the new line I MAY be willing to make the investment (and change), but in the meantime I'll pass on these, except perhaps for picking up some sections for a product review.

I might suggest starting this topic as a new discussion on the subways/traction/transit forum so those interested can carry on the dialog there.
