Any videos of the new Lionel consolidation?

I'm waiting also.

Curious how it sounds and to see the whistle steam in action.

There was a UP version posted, but no video. Guess the thread died out....

Anyone get the Western Maryland version?

Impressive!   Is this model based on a SP version of a 2-8-0?  Or another railroad?   I wonder who has the best prices for this model.  Lionel has a list price of $799.

I can't guarantee it's the best price out there, but Nassau Hobby has theirs priced at $659.99, plus free shipping this weekend. I ordered the NKP model for myself. Last I checked they had UP, SP, and WM listed as in stock.

Pretty sure all the 2-8-0's will have the same sounds.

You're probably right.   UP whistle seems about the same as the Southern.  Sounds are exceptional and it runs great.     Compared to other recent Lionel smaller legacy steam, this one with whistle steam is a standout.

Mario trains has the best price this weekend.  $670.00 plus 10% off with free shipping brings it down to $603.00.  I wish I saw this before ordering mine on Thursday night from another shop...oh well.  I get mine on Wednesday.  

This is a BTO item I wish I would've waited for after delivery...the sale prices are already less than the preorder price.

In another thread people with the locomotives are saying theirs all have the builder's plates.  You might want to contact Lionel and get them to send you a set if yours are really missing (They could be in a location where you aren't expecting them.).
