It might be helpful to post the dimensions and shape of your room (possibly with a sketch) along with any obstructions, i.e., poles, doors, etc. and whether it will be a "duck under" or bridge/gate.
The type of trackage you plan on using; number of loops; and switch radius might also help.
Not sure exactly what you are looking for, or for that matter whether or not you are a two railer or a three railer. Here are three sites, not necessarily O, but good thought starters none the less.

My layout is 28' by 14' with a center peninsular yard, My intent is for operations though it supports two loops for continuous operations. I've started a redesign based on what I learned, but all work is on hold because my train room turned into a store room after the hurricane.
