atlas c-628 painting

hi guys, i was here a while back and was going to build a switching layout and never got around to it. but o scale keeps calling my name soit has to be done. i bought a atlas 2 rail c-628 yes its over kill but thats how i roll haha.it is factory painted in pennsylvania green. and i want to paint it southern pacific. any tips on painting o scale locos?. i have done a couple ho scale ones before. but these are huge. i have the paint already and would just need decals.also will kadee 740 couplersbe easy to install?. lastly, the loco has qsi sound installed but isnt all that good. should i swap it out with a loksound perhaps? thanks, dan
