Well, I watched the fantastic review of the Atlas Gunderson Stack Cars on Ericstrains. I've got to get a set of those. Have any of you purchased these cars yet? If so, where did you get them?

I think High Country Hobbies might have some left.
I pre-ordered mine from Charlie Ro the first time around. He doesn't normally do Atlas rolling stock, so it was special order with 20% down. This last time I went with Mr Muffin, again pre-order. He does stock Atlas on a regular basis, and takes orders nothing down.
If you want from the first run, you better get on the hunt. I'm sure a lot of places are sold out. The second run hasn't hit the shelves yet. So you have a chance. I would expect a third run to be announced early 2017.

I bought all four sets in different road names. I second Eric's review. These cars are fantastic. Nicholas Smith has some left. Do a search. Be aware, they need lots of containers and they add up quickly. Nicholas Smith still has sets left for $134.95 !! Great price.
BTW, I returned my four Lionel PS-1 sound boxcars which don't squeal and got another set of these Gundersons !! What a good decision I made.

Ok, I just went to the Nicholas Smith site and he has the Gunderson stack cars for $234.00. I ordered a set, but I noticed I was charged $14.10 tax!!! What the heck? I've never payed tax on ordering from the net before, at least I've never noticed. So who gets the tax? The Feds?

I used to order RC airplane stuff online from a large company. They opened a distribution warehouse in my state and now have to charge me sales tax. No more ordering from them.
