Okay guys - I am no expert on the SF but based on the orders we got I know there is a market for them..... What do you want here?..... An ABBA?.... Road numbers?..... what combination of powered and unpowered?....
I hope Jerry Kimble reads this thread and passes it on to the rest of the Atlas crew.
Steve, I would be in favor of both powered and non-powered A's & B's. That gives the consumer all the freedom he/she needs to build their own Lashup. Then his wallet or her purse can bark at them to based on what they spend.
I'll tell ya right now, I'm placing MY ABBA order(s) with Mr. Muffin.
I am going to see if I can add these to the current production as a special run.... so I need to some help on what to order..... I could go out on a limb and do 3 or 4 different models but I can't afford to do all of the possible combinations..... so if I could talk them into a special run - what would I order? 2 powered A's and a dummy B? Or would you guys rather wait and see if Atlas does it some time in the future?...
F3 or F7?
The F7s should be numbered between 202 - 280.
I think 269 was the first delivered by EMD to Santa Fe in Cigar Band paint (I believe in 1953?). I might be wrong - so don't quote me on it.
For me, powered A's are what I'd want most.
That said, I believe Atlas is currently producing models from 1949. Maybe an early 50s model will show up on the next catalog?
