Baby Madison lights

I can get the lids off 3 of 4 cars. However cannot get the lid off of the luggage car. Ideas?

also I have tried the bulbs from a working car in one that isn't working and they didn't work . The electronics aren't very complicated in these... What could the issue be?

Yea I got it, such a pain. But I don't think I'd ever be able to get rid of them as the set was a gift from my late grandmother. I may end up parking them though, and have a different set of cars be pulled on my set up when I get to putting it all together
