The ones I have like this have the screw into the metal inside the plastic, it just goes through the plastic shell. I'll admit, I haven't seen these, so I don't know if they're the same type.
I'll order a set and see if they're decent, the price is right. 
O bought the Monoprice ones years ago when they were $.99. I am very satisfied with the heft and quality of the product.

I have some very similar looking to the ones I posted, and the screw goes into the metal inside, the plastic "handle" is just held on by the presence of the screw. I ordered a set of those, I'll post what they look like when I get them.
