When I saw this post, I thought "ho hum, yet another brick paper clip art site" -- I almost didn't bother to look.   But this is a real innovation. The ability to generate so many different combinations of size/color/arrangement in random per-sheet patterns is unique as far as I know.

I agree! I may have solved my "engine house is going to cost me a fortune" problem. At 6 feet away, you can't tell if bricks are engraved or 2 dimensional anyway. Now to come up with a nice way to make all those windows...

Trainman2001 etal  I have a solution to your problem.  Check out my web site westportmodelworks.com and the modular building drawing pages. I have a number of drawings printed on card stock with all the bricks and windows to enable you to create a roundhouse with as many stalls as you want and as deep as you want.

I have an area I need to fix up a bit but it is in a very tight space. I believe the printed bricks will work perfectly for this project.

 

 

While many posters are lauding this site as a great find and thanking the original poster for bringing it to the attention of the forum, I'm curious how many of those same people heaping praise on it either have already or do plan on making a donation to its creator to help keep the development and improvement of it going. Many, I hope. IMHO, the best way to show gratitude to this developer is by making a donation. Please consider doing so.

BTW, I have no prior knowledge of or connection to this software creator whatsoever but what is fair is fair. It took him or her time to develop this so please take the time to support its ongoing development with a monetary contribution as a thank you for its usefulness to your layout effort.

If I browse a free site like this and do not print anything, in this case, I do not make a donation. If I print something I do make a donation. 

 

One thing I learned on the brick website is that there are a lot more scales of model railroading then I realized! WOW!

 

20 different scales and you may have O-gauge but there are 3 different scales depending on where in the world you live!

 

 

Nice site. I certainly agree on donating if I used his work. A question for some of you more advanced computer guys, What type of paper/material do you use for the most realistic image?

Not only do they have "brickyard" software, but especially for Trainman2001, they also have "window designer."  Additionally,  many buildings have already been designed and are ready for download.  Check them out.
