what was funny was the moderator giving the ready get set go... the train is at rest, then they jump cut to the train running at speed.
Not sure when the runner was free to run the train and get the targets?
I like the end where you have to jump off the front of the locomotive and grab the last target....

Nothing like a TV game show that shows examples of how to get killed. Some uninformed dare-devil teenager is going to try this - without the safety harness - and get killed.

Wow. It is interesting. But my major reaction is: Geez, when there are 600 channels, people have to reach pretty deep toward the bottom of the barrel to find stuff to fill the air time.

This is new programing by Fox, to me it is the next generation for Wipe-Out. Which is a "family" TV show...?
When the Mrs called me to the TV I saw a women jumping off of the front of the Alco trying to grab a target off a swinging arm... and I said "What the Hey"?
I'd like to know what railroad this was shot on, and whether they have an FRA exemption for all the safety rules they are violating.

The engineer had to be wondering who was going to live and die if he or she had to dump the air. This is one of the dumbest things I've seen in a while. It worse the the old American Chopper series when the used to let Mikey in the shop with shorts, sandals, and no PPE at all, while the others guys all had proper clothes and safety glasses on.
I was reading the interviews with the director(s) of this show and John Kroll and Scott Larson... directors of the show Wipepout...
It is basically a thrill based reality show with more advanced contestants performing real life stunts...
I believe the Host had 5 staples in his head when he tried the human sling shot trick...
They continued to say that there will be other stunts done with a train based theme...
I am sure with the insurance and waver red tape they purchased a section of railroad and railroad equipment for these shows.

If you look at the film footage closely the Alco looks to be a dead unit and not manned... and there is another locomoitive at the rear of the consist as the pusher... a more modern GP unit.
If I'm not mistaken it looks like the Filmore and Western. Which would make sense given its location to LA.

The Filmore and Western does a LOT of tv and film work, but this is a project that should have been turned down because it is sure to inspire copy-cats. While I still think this is a dangerous and stupid program, everyone was wearing a safety harness and was tied to safety cables running down the train.

My understanding is that the Filmore and Western is not in very good financial shape, so it is possible that they will take on ANY contract for money.
