I was watching that and thinking the same. Almost pulled the trigger... Glad it's going to a good home!

Yes, it was a more than reasonable price in such great condition. I think the guy said it went for almost twice that much when it was new. I have just depleted my train funds lately. I'm sitting on a bunch of stuff I need to sell, but I'm waiting for the Summer doldrums of the train market to end.

Another project, a set of Ives 141/142 Pullman cars. Think missing one roof but should be a nice set some day. Maybe match my 1122 lol Have to figure out what color to make em! $22.27 no one wanted em?
Excellent Dennis, another project to work on. I hope you will find the missing roof, wheels are not a problem.
Daniel
Thanks Daniel, Can't work on em till I get a certain K4 done though . Think I finally figured out how I can fix the insulated wheels that came apart. Long story, I'll send you an email later this weekend hopefully.
I woulda bid if I had seen them....I think some guy from Indiana has me blocked.....just as well...was out cutting grass and the mower died...think a connecting rod broke.
those will be nice Dennis...
The market must just be down, or what I thought was a good deal isn't that great anymore lol, There are some nicer cars on right now too for 3 times as much with a few days left... I think I've seen loose roofs lately, of course, now that I want one probably won't be as easy!
well after you've pulled you're hair out looking for a roof I'll make you an offer.....
I would think a Lionel roof would work too?
who knows, They might end up in Ohio... seems to be a magnet over there somewhere
Next time, I'll go ahead and win that 615 baggage car for you and send it your way
Kidding, kidding
That is way cool Dave, who makes it? Looks like a really nice model. Diecast I'm guessing?
M2 Machines...available at you local Wally World. I've got several cars made by them. "50s to '60s stuff. Nice detail, about $5 or a little less for a car. You can see a couple parked by the Church and Post Office.

I think Hennings might even have them for those cars. They should look nice when redone.

Here's an item for you guys to buy... In Stout's auction next weekend in Indiana, there is a Lionel Tuscan 813 rubber stamped lettering with the original box! I read that there are only 12 of these in existence. Although, I happened to see 4 of them on eBay one year.
Go get it guys! This one could go for over $2,000! I won't be bidding sadly.
George
P.S. Remember that if you buy online and pay with a credit card, your buyer's fee will be $400 if the car sells for $2,000.

And the answer is no. Very poorly packed.

dang I hate that. It's not rocket science to properly pack stuff.
Arrrrrggggh!
Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's very uncool. Due to poor packing or just extreme poor luck in shipment?
That's terrible! You'd think for $45 in shipping the seller would have packed it better. I thought the legs would be the hardest to protect, but there's no excuse for the base. The damage under the roof is odd, since the roof seems fine itself.
So sorry Steve.
