Is there any easy way to change engine numbers, of locomotives already loaded into a Cab 2 remote, without having to clear and reload the information for each engine?

Change the engine ID. Hopefully, all other engine info to remain.
Nope. You'll have to load the info into the new eng number. Currently there is no copy.

I was afraid of that. I have about 65 engines loaded into the Cab 2. Been using engine numbers for the engine ID, but now run into too many duplications. It will just be busy work.
There is a way right now but it could be cumbersome using the black module and LSU software to copy that engine info and then when you re-assign the id use the black module to restore that engine info to the new ID (sort of the same thing as using the orange module for a Legacy engine but if it's a TMCC 1 engine it would save entering the name and settings).
If you can wait until the multi engine module software comes out (sometime soon I hope), that may help. Basically using the LSU software, you can load all of your engines up to 99 on one black module. Then as you re-ID your engines you can just scroll to that engine on the black module and select that engine data.
Can't wait to see that software Marty, it's getting a bit cumbersome to manage them as the fleet grows! 
Since it does not hold the engine ID just the "personality" info like a regular orange module it really can be helpful. You can think of it as 99 orange modules, either Legacy, TMCC, or whatever. Including the crane cars. All on 1 module instead of 99.
That would be ideal, what a great idea! That will be a good use for one of the black modules, I may have to get a third one. I don't have 99 TMCC items yet, so they'll all fit on one module.
Marty, I think I'll just wait for the multi-engine module as you suggest. It will be worth it.
