Can GGD make LIRR P72 Coaches Using PRR P70 tooling?

I'll take a set also!!!!

only if the overall length of the two cars are the same, or you can put up with the P72 being the same 77' overall length as a P70.

I'm not really all that interested in exact scale models. Hight or length really don't matter to me as long as it looks enough like the real thing

Please do NOT expect Sunset/3rd Rail/Golden Gate Depot to produce ANY models that are not scale!

I'm just saying I would be happy either way. I know everything they do is scale. I have a bunch of their cars and I LOVE them

You could try for some decorated cars, and paint them yourself.

GGD does at times compromise scale fidelity to hold down cost. AtlasO does it with fantasy paint schemes on freight cars. The GGD PRR PB70 combine is longer than the prototype as it was designed to reuse some P70 tooling. SPF note: PRR passenger car nomenclature was based on the length between interior bulkheads. With PB70's having a vestibule at only one end, its length over the buffers was 2' 7" shorter than a similar P70.
I like the way Intermountain handled fantasy paint schemes on their kits. If it was a true to prototype it came in a brown and white box. Fantasy schemes came in similar red and white boxes. That way each modeler could make informed decisions regarding known deviations from prototype before purchase. I have several red box IM models on the railroad, but purchased each after considering how far a reach it was.

That car looks great. Unfortunately kits are not my strongest point. I would rather pay more and have ready to run cars.

 

Did the 3 rail trucks and wheels come with that car? How about the couplers? I have been considering the kit but the cost to make a train of them seems high for the work involved in a kit? Perhaps just one lone car might not be bad at all!

 

What is the minimum radius/diameter in O gauge 3 rail terms?
