Can you help to ID this switcher frame? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

My latest $5 buy at today's train show in Independence, OH.

I love getting stuff like this! Anywho, I'm pretty sure the motor is NOT original, but the frame appears to be quite usable and I would like to make something out of it. Just for grins, I stuck a spare 601 Seaboard shell on it, and the fit is perfect - screw hole in front matches up, and the frame tab and body slot match in the rear.

But this is NOT the frame for a 601/602 - as you can see

there is not a second slot for the motor mounting tabs to fit into toward the center of the frame. I think I have seen motor trucks that have a metal finger that is bent over at a right angle and just rides on the edge of the motor hole.

So with all that, can you tell me what engine this frame belongs to?

634 from 1963. You can make the motor fit by bending the tab 90 degrees.

Thanks Chuck, you've got quite a memory! Indeed, a judicious bend to the motor truck mounting tab will probably do the trick quite nicely!
