Changing paint scheme of a Lionel LionChief Plus FT Diesel A-B-A Units has anyone done this?

G'day viewers,

Has anyone attempted to change the paint scheme of a Lionel LionChief Plus FT Diesel A-B-A Units by any chance?

I'm looking to change the paint scheme my Lionel Erie RR LionChief Plus FT Diesel A-B-A Units to NYC Black Paint scheme with white whiskers.

Any advise what to look for as to not damage the components?

Has anyone got a PDF of the LionChief Plus FT "exploded diagram with part numbers"?

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Sounds pretty ambitious! Are you making progress? My latest project is turning a pair of almost hopeless Santa Fe F3s into Penn Central engines. I am a NYC fan but the PC decals are fairly simple/easy to apply.
