Well I thought I'd post a few pictures of our lay for this year.  I pre built the layout, 2 months, in the garage.  So when I brought it in I had it all done in 2 days.  Merry Christmas Folks!!!!

Spectacular!  Where did you get the snow tree background?   I would like to find something like it for my club's layout.  NH Joe

I like all of it...BTW...those "snow mountains" in the background seem to be molded or cast. Mind sharing whats the material?

The Mts. are carved out of 2 inch foam sheets that I got at Lowes.  The trick is to get a hot wire foam tool...I make the large first cuts with my jig saw and then all the shaping is done with the hot wire tool.  I then put 2 coats of semi gloss paint on and the last coat while still wet I shake glitter all over it.  Once its dry, I the wet the peaks and shake white flocking over them and re glitter. Once it drys it will never come off and give the real snowy look to it.  The pictures don't show it as well as being here..Doug

Hey dougie fresh...you're the best! The material and working it into shape is something I can do. Im thinking i would build storable segments for my Christmas Carpet Central. Take em outa storage...10 seconds to stand upright...boom!

Thanks so much...why did I not think 2inch foam/dowboard? And yes...that whole layout is kool as all getout

My layout is 3 4x4 sections with 5 28" legs that just screws into them.  Annie made the skirt.
