Thank you.  It's not a base issue.  I am only experiencing this issue with this engine.  

Have you tried Bluetooth with the universal remote or Lioncheif app?

When you program it, do you get an acknowledgment of an accept when you press set?  ( 1 horn blast )

I have not tried the LionChief app and bluetooth.  I didn't think to try that. My cab 2 works fine, but will try that.

Yes, the engine was acknowledged.  1 horn blast.

Problem solved.  USER error.  I had not slid the run program switch back to run.  Go figure.

Ok, it sorta sounds like it’s stuck in program from the clues,……maybe …..but always start simple and work outward from that logic,….KISS principle,…..try sliding the run/pgm switch a few times, in hopes your just stuck in program,….I’ve seen switches hang up like this,…..don’t be aggressive, but make sure it’s firmly over in run……you’ve already programmed it and it accepted your request, so it’s set,…..also verify you’ve identified this engine as a Legacy in the remote via info. & scroll,…..if you’ve selected TMCC or R100, sometimes I’ve seen Legacy engines sit there dead and do nothing……

My Lionel engine is not working.  When I added power to the track the engine started up.  I tried this a few times and each time it started.  I went and slid the run program switch to program and was able to program it.  Lights are on, not flashing.

I was not able to control the engine, it does not move, it does not respond, it just sits there and the engine runs.  When I tap the #5 button (shut down) on my cab 2 remote, the horn just sounds.  When I hit the horn button, nothing happens.  I tried this a few times and the same thing happened each time.

I tried the reset button on the cab 2, nothing.   I also tried that a few times.    

Any ideas?  I don't think I have seen this issue discussed before.
