Chronometer and Odometer stopped

I have a Railking F3 PS2.0 engine. The chronometer and odometer seem to have 'frozen' It will increment as long as the track is powered up, but when I restart, the chrono/odo reset to the original values. Battery says OK, but perhaps time for a new battery? Any advice on what the problem might be would be helpful. Thanks.

Battery is the problem. Engine sounds should continue after cutting off track power for at least 6 to 7 seconds. Don't use the SHUT DOWN on the remote to check this. As long as the track is powered the sounds will continue until the engine shuts down.

The battery OK in the remote is only that the charging system is working properly and not the condition of the battery.
