My wife has 7 of these buildings and likes the idea of combining them on the layout we are planning/building. But to us it seems their size is a little small relatively speaking.
1. When using these Dept 56 buildings do you typically raise them off the table top one way or another? I only have one STG Gauge train to compare sizes so my perspective may be off a little. We are using 3/4" Luan, a snow white indoor/outdoor or marine grade carpeting, and flex bed.
2. We would also like to use a snow mat. Should that go under the flex bed or stop some distance short of all track?
