Well this must be my issue because I upgraded my I3 to v4.2 with no issues, but it will not load sound files as described in the original posts of this thread. I get the same error message in the beginning of this thread, and it happens within a couple seconds after hit the start tab. It's like there is no communication between the engine and TIU/PC.

Well I tried the magic light bulb....no change.

I then thought maybe my test leads were too small, 24ga so I made some 16ga wire leads from the transformer to Fixed 1, and then 16ga again from Output 1 to the test track. each lead is only about 2'-3'. no change....same error within 3 seconds of starting the transfer.

I am using a PW ZW, as this is what I use in the garage for my test track. I wouldn't think that would make a difference but what do I know.

I have 18 volts and the track, and track signal is 10 with or w/o the magic bulb.

I'm done for the night... Superbowl Party tomorrow, need some rest!

OK it must NOT be the TIU that's causing my problem. I took my laptop and test track over to my Dad's house to use his Rev L TIU. I get the same error, over and over.

DCS loader says found loader on Com 4, then I get the error as it sends the commands to the engine. Apparently the TIU will not communicate with the engine not matter what TIU I am using.

I wouldn't think its any of my hardware as I can update the TIU/Remote without errors. During the sound file download is when I get the error re check engine status.
