Yes. My layouts are called: 3rd floor layout (O), Computer room layout (N), Basement layout (S), Christmas living room, Christmas dining room (both O).

Walker Model Railroad,

named after my father-in-law.

Donald S. Walker.

died July 2013.

He got me started in O gauge back in 1990.

And I have the opportunity to purchase some of

his trains from my mother-in-law to run on his

name sake train board!!

In all these years of having toy trains(since Christmas 47) I have never given it a consideration.  But if I did it would be RTT or RTTL (Ron's TOY Trains or Ron's TOY train Layout).

 

Oh and there is MTT or MTTL substituting "My" for "Ron's."

Since my recent move to Prescott Valley, AZ, and the pending creation of a new layout, I am considering naming mine the Central Arizona Central Rail Road. 

I always wanted to name mine but I thought that as I was only running Milwaukee Road equipment it would obvious what railroad it was. Recently I ordered an F-3 ABA set for the Lackawanna Railroad along with "Phoebe Snow" passenger cars to go with it. Maybe I could start calling it the M & L or the L & M RR.

We have been trying to come up with a name since we started construction. Worse than trying to decide on the track plan. Lol

I call my layout in progress the FLLVPCR to honor the past and present train lines that ran through Phelps,  NY where I live. FLLVPCR stands for Finger Lakes (present railway) Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania ( New York )Central Railroad.  The name for the town is Slackerville (take off on the TV Hooterville from the 60's) because with working 2 jobs & other duties I don't get much time to work on it so nothing much happens there. LOL!

This part of my layout started as a Roadrunner version of the Grand Canyon, but I wound up with a cavern so it's Rand Cavern.




My other sections are The Mountain, The town, The Yard.

 My temporary ,getting to be permanent layout it seems... name is based on the idea of the two short-lines  that ran on both sides of the Ohio River Valley where I live "The Eastern Kentucky & Ohio R.R.".

 

 The real railroads were the Eastern Kentucky R.R. originating in Greenup county,Kentucky and the Scioto Valley r.r. that ran from Columbus,Ohio to Lawrence county Ohio where the N&W ran and present day NS runs.

 

 The two roads actually had talked about merger before hard times bankrupt the EK and it fell into receivership .

 

 

The Domestic CEO named it "the mess".

 

Officially: 

The Atlantic & Yadkin Ry[Originally the Cape Fear & Yadkin Valley Ry, North Carolina's "Mountain To Sea Railroad" before it was taken over and split up between the Southern and ACL Ry in 1899]. Citizens,Merchants and Manufacturers sued both the SRR & ACL, a suit that lasted 25 years until the Supreme Court settled it in 1924. The A&Y operated as an independent from the Southern until December 1949.

 

Michigan & Ohio Valley Lines.  I haven't decided on colors yet, but am leaning toward black with orange lettering(like Wheeling and Lake Erie).  One diesel will be painted in bicentennial red-white-blue though.

Name of my layout?. I guess I just call it "The Layout," but perhaps it does need a name.

Perhaps "The Neighborhood of Make-Believe?"  LOL

 

 

Stoney Creek Southern.
Stoney Creek is a real place outside of Elizabethton, TN. my parents each grew up in that valley. My layout is a fictional branch line of the ET&WNC RR, bought out by them in the late 30s and takes place in 1943.

Pine tree junction. As soon as I'm done with my basement in November I will start it. Can't wait!

I am intending to name my layout The NESAR (New England and Southern Appalachian Railroad).  I grew up in Massachusetts and I now live in Tennessee so I want to be able to depict both New England and the South on my layout.

Your layout looks better than ever. Looks like you've been building onto the the Double-8 layout w/ another layer and added scenery. This layout represents a totally unique dimension in model railroading. You're a true artist... Please, hang around for a while and share some more of your artwork!

I started my layout in the midst of the market crash of 2007 I got about halfway through my layout decor which is a converted ping pong table when I had the bright idea of how fortunate we as toy train collectors. I suppose I wanted to make a statement.

 

The other half of my layout is dedicated to people living on the edge (Hoboville). I have 5 Hobo camps. All told there are 25 Hobos on my layout. Most keep to themselves but there are the fringe element who regularly ride the rails and have "dust ups" with Railroad cops!

 

I call it Boardertown. Edgy, isn't it?

My 4x8 postwar Lionel O gauge layout is named "The Frogville Junction Railroad" because my wife and I call each other "Froggy" because we love frogs and have all kinds of frogs inside the house and out.  Frogville Junction is the town we have created on our layout.  Totally whimsical.  See pics attached.

Mine is called "The Lenny Lines" after my uncle Bill whose given name is Leonard William "Bill" Makens. He HATES the name Leonard and doesnt really like the name I gave the railroad but thats what its called because its catchy and it fits

I like that name. Fits mine too but mine is smaller. 12'x7' x 6" mine line with 10" x 12' passing siding. Mostly C&O 

My layout is the PRR Panhandle Division.
