Does anyone remember this TV show?

Sure I remember it. Like the text in that link states, it was one of the biggest TV disasters of all time. Really a pretty bad show, even for those who like trains. Eminently forgettable.

It was Love Boat on rails!!! I think I saw all of the few episodes just to see the model trains. I had a magazine all about the models but I think hurricane Danny got it when I lost 1000 magazines in a flash flood.

I've never been much of a TV watcher, so I never heard of that series. And judging from that I read at the link, it's just as well. Sounds like yet another tired retread of the old Grand Hotel theme.

I'll have a dose of "Petticoat Junction", please.

Yes I remember the show. I mostly recall the very wide gauge track.

Right around the same time there was a show on with Vincent Price that was sort of a twighlight zone themed show. The show would start out with a scene at the station platform on a foggy night with the train boarding. Anyone recall the name of such a show?

I believe the railroader's Museum in Altoona has a similar O guage/standard guage model of the engine and two passenger cars. That would be a place to start if someone wants to model it.

Texas Pete, yes that is the Vincent Price show. Thanks for posting the title. I do not think Time Express lasted very long either.

Yep...I sure do remember that show. I was a little kid when it was on TV but I sure loved that train!

The model that was used for the show was available for sale many years ago and if I remember correctly the for sale ad was in several of the hobby magazines...don't know if anyone bought it. Wonder where it is today???

I own the VHS tape of the pilot program of this show. I remember that the train was atomic powered.

Remember the show. The train was "interesting" but the show was a real stinker.
