Just bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-DX100 camera from a friend who won the Leica version of the same camera in a raffle.  I am just beginning to fiddle around with its many settings, but here below are a few first photos taken of the Duckunder with it.  I can tell already that the Lumix DX100 is going to yield some spectacular results once I learn its secrets!  Hope you enjoy these.

Mayor Eagles, thank you for your kind words, but you are embarrassing me.

Frank failed to mentioned that he also serves on the Wake County Transit Advisory Committee, as I do, and is engaged with the Committee in developing an integrated, affordable transit plan for our region's future.

Frank has a big layout of his own that focuses mainly on modern NS operation.

Thanks, Dan. Except for having too little time to ramp up my knowledge quickly, I expect to have a good time experimenting with the camera all over the layout. The short focus and narrow depth of field achievable on some settings will aid in blurring out distant background elements in the room that aren't part of the layout, hence making foreground details all the more realistic.
