I have just finished upgrades to ERR cruise commanders in 3 Williams engines. After programing and what appeared to be working correctly I tried to run them on the layout.

1st. I did 2 F7 units and a GP9, when I run them one at a time everything works except when  I slow to stop (either with the throttle or the brake) as soon as the engine stops it automatically goes into reverse and then I have trouble switching direction back to forward.  Sometimes when the engine stops and sits idle for a minute it will go into reverse. All 3 engines do this

2nd. Before I noticed this problem I made up a train with the two F7 units they did the auto reverse but I also lost the couplers would not work and the lights would not work.

The GP9 has the same light problem and reverse problem.

I already have two PA's and an RS3 that I upgraded and they work fine. I have them programed fot TMCC using AUX6

has anyone else had this problem?

I deleted the MU and reprogramed the engines and used the generic mem module to get the info this time. No luck it runs like it is in conventional except I can control the speed with the remote. it starts up, I get all the bells and whistles, I run it in forward and then stop the engine changes direction automaticly, if i run it in reverse and slow to stop it changes  to forward,  I have checked the first 3 engines that I upgraded almost a year ago and they still run fine.

I reprogammed the engines went through all the procedures The engines run and sound ok and I think I have found the problem, I noticed all my engines even the lionel legacy rs11 with TMCC from the factory  will change direction if I scroll the throtlle past the stop point. What I mean is when I rotate the throttle one or more turns  after the bar graph reaches 0  It changes the direction of the engine. I have never noticed this before.   is this normal?
