Hi All,
First post here. I have recently acquired a few Lionel post war trains and could not identify the attached locomotive. I think that it is based on the 41/51 Gas Turbine Switcher but I can not find any information on a model with no numbers and only markings are the GM on the side of the cab.

That "GM" might mean "General Models", as compared to "General Motors".
It's a repainted 41 switcher with the railings broken/cut off.

WOW, So I have a custom switcher... LOL..
It was defiantly repainted a long time ago..
Did someone tell them not to repaint it?!

But that "GM" is definitely in the Generally Motors copyrighted (I guess) logo lettering style...
