Heres a question: Lionel replaced tinplate O track with fast track. But, the power wire for the fast track is less then adequate for older transformers. I mean if someone wants to replace their old track and use their existing transformer. Such, as a zw etc.
How, the heck is the little measly fast track wire connector going to survive a zw? Yeah, I know - add protection to the zw.
Beyond, the scope of the basic person. So, why didn’t Lionel make a larger gauge hookup wire or allow for one via screw terminal etc.
