The non derailing feature is shorting out somehow and trying to close and open the switch continuously when the train touches the isolated rail.  Look for anything conductive across the gaps of the isolated activation rail.   Is this a manual or remote switch? If it's remote, can you throw it remotely and have it stay in the direction you through it or does it do the same thing?

Also. You might want to fix your typo and the Subject of this post.  Lol
