After refurbishing several trusty Lionel 022 switches, I decided to go mainly with the OLR switches a few years ago to save space on a limited size layout.  Within a year, one of the OLR controllers failed and I was able to replace it under warranty.  Now another controller failed on an 072 LH switch. Suddenly the switch kept chattering when attempting to go into the straight position.  These switches are not simple electrical contacts, but have circuit boards within them.  Also, I know the controllers are specific to the direction of the switch, so the problem was resolved when I substituted another LH OLR controller (actually K Line 0093).  Not sure this one is under warranty.

Just curious if others have had this problem.  Also, any suggestions how to replace the switch only?

Thanks,

Michael
