Reports of possible terrorist activity have filtered down to Superintendant of the Road Scrapiron Scher. The new Munoz Lines is well prepared for any terrorist activity. Scrapiron immediately got on the telephone to his brother, General "Blackiron" Scher at the local base. "Scrappy," he said, "we ain't waitin for no vacillator in Washington to tell me what to do.Where do you want the equipment?" So I told ol' Blackiron and there they were !!

That helo looks fantastic.
As a former Huey driver Scrappy, I can assure you, those main and tail rotor blades will reek havoc on the first tunnel they come to.........
They need to be secured with some type of bag over the blade ends that then tie them down to the flatcar or helo structure.....
Great work and pics, and I admire your preparedness! Ol' Blackiron has me a little worried, though. Wasn't he in 'Dr. Strangelove'?

The helicopter is part of a series of four die cast 1/50 scale. I found this on on the auction site quite reasonable. About the same price as the Corgi 1/50 tanks. It also comes with enough missiles and machine guns to blow up your layout.
General "Blackiron" Scher has quite a military record. He was awarded the Idaho Star as a private for peeling the most potatoes in the battalion. He also was directly responsible for demolishing the Munoz Lines in six months leaving his brother Scrapiron 2 1/2 tons of debris. The two are very close however, especially at dinner time.

Sure miss flying it.
I rode allot of Huey's back in the day, didn't like them that much.
86T: Flew them from Marble Mountain in 70/71 and then picked up new UH-1Ns from mid 71 until late 73 when we returned Stateside.
