Thanks guys. The whole basement needs finished as there is currently only 1 usable electrical outlet and no drywall. Electric will come soon enough. In the meantime there is plenty of room to spread out!

No, that is a set of Philadelphia Phillies cars. I managed to paint over the MLB symbol so you can't even tell it was there anymore. I intended to do better lettering but ran out of time before Christmas. I found the 3 car set for $50, no box or engine. I knew what what I was going to do the moment I saw them. The Stephen Express labels were made up at work. The back of the observation car even got a little S E to cover the Philly symbol. They are the same cars as the polar express but without the little metal studs on the roof for the characters from the movie. the other thing I did was to glue on the observation platform. My experience with my older son's PE told me these tend to fall off. With Stephen much of the playtime these cars get is nowhere near a set of tracks so the less chance of things falling off the better!

That's a great start! Hopefully you will want to add more later. Looks like you have track clips as well with the tracks to keep them together and that is good.
