i didn't know this was even possible!
notice this is a Flyer Type XI clockwork shell, not the similar Type III electric (#3195), though with less metal, i cannot see why this wouldn't work with both types .... unless the headlight gets in the way. actually a good recycle of a locomotive that is often found with missing side rods or damaged/ missing wheels.
btw... this is a current eBay sale, so be aware it is not 100% Flyer as advertised.

Odd, as soon as l saw that word, l guessed it was a Marx and Flyer creation, as not uncommon to find Flyer trucks on Marx 3/16, and the reverse.

Flarx just seems to roll off the tongue better than other mash-ups. And yes, it sounds like something from Dr. Seuss to me too.
Maybe it could become a safe "F" word to shout when something goes wrong on the layout? 
One of my favorite bosses was so mild mannered he make priests seem brash. Every once in a blue moon, he would "lose it" and exclaim "Ahh, horse pucky". 3 seconds later he was laughing at himself with us....unless the ears were red 😉
