Overlandflyer - yes - I have a 1922 Set #0 engine with that arrangement.

Brian - no, most don't have that extra piece of sheet metal with a crimped tab that fits between the spokes they are just riveted directly to the wheel.

Drive rod connected in same manner as Overlandflyer engine

well, this locomotive was on eBay at a ridiculous BIN price... then it was marked down 30%... so i offered 30% less than that... which i still thought was about $20 too much... and, ...sold.

i suppose once in a while i'm just not in the mood to dicker over a few $$... and i get to add a working piece with a feature i rarely see.  i'll still count it as a win...

cheers...gary
