Freshly painted Cimarron Valley C40-8 4053 is coupled between three BNSF units and a former RailAmerica GP38 as the set of power heads to the engine facilitiy at Cherokee Yard after arriving from St. Louis. The former CSX unit is one of seven refurbished 4000hp General Electric locomotives that the western Kansas railroad is acquiring to replace its existing roster. Tulsa, OK 6/30/2019.

What is old is new again.............ATSF color scheme! Regards, Swafford

Cimarron Valley made a nice choice of locomotive and paint scheme. Glad to know some C40-8s are back at work again.
