I own a Lionel 6-28840 Burlington GP30 with Odyssey that won't rev up or down unless I use the rev up & down command on the remote

first, then it works normally. I am using my Legacy system to run my locomotives with the latest software update.

Also when I want to set the momentum on this engine, the headlight flashes until I remove track power and power up again.

I have reset this engine many times with no change. All of my other engines work fine. Any help would be appreciated,thanks.

On the rev up try rotating the knob several steps at a time.

Using my CAB 2 remote, I gave your suggestion a try, with still the same result.

I then tried running it with my DCS remote and it revved up and down normally.

I think the blinking headlight has to do with changing the momentum setting

and not hitting the set button afterwords.
