This weekend, Dotty and I were honored by visits from our good friends Jim Barrett and Barry Broskowitz.  While in town for a few days, we did some historic touring and squeaked in a few trains.  Most of the readers probably do not know that Jim is a huge authority of Boston History.  While in town we visited Old Ironsides (USS Constitution) , Bunker Hill , site of Boston massacre, site of Boston Tea Party, South Station, Old North Church and the grave sites of Paul Revere, Mother Goose, John Hancock and victims of the Boston massacre.

Jim and I on a cold station platform at Boston's South Station.

Acela pulling into the station.

Three Acela trains in at the same time.

MBTA Commuter Rail.

Historic Old North Church.  Paul Revere watched for the lanterns in April 1775 to signal how the British were coming into Boston.  One if by land, two if by sea

USS Constitution (AKA Old Ironsides)

I am very proud to live in historic Boston.  I thank all those past and present who have fought to make our great Country free.

Barry and Jim are two great guys that have given our hobby great contributions.

I have had many of my good train pals sign my wall.  Among them are Mike Wolf, Mike Reagan, Lou Caponi and soon will add Locolawyer and Gerry Morlitz.

I now have Barry and Jim on the wall.

Ralph doing his best to scam Jim into giving him some more treats.

Ben,

You know I will be having fun with Ted Bertiger at Trainstock over his JETS. Thanks for the kind words guys. Both Jim and Barry are great guys and good friends. Hanging with them for a few days, a person will learn some good information if they keep the ears open. They are both very high end contributors to our hobby.

GO PATS
