This is the layout I built for Halloween night. Overall it was a big hit with the kids and the parents and I was glad I did it. Considering it was Halloween, I did not expect the responses I got from the kids. I figured they look at it, think it was cool and then run off to the next house. But they really enjoyed the trains, buildings and animations. I guess this will become an annual thing.

Flickering lights in passenger cars never bothered me. But I never realized there is a Holiday when it would be appropriate for even the rivet counters. Or are the flickering lights just apparent in the video?

Yeah, I've got a PW spotlight car. It has always bugged me because it flickered so bad. That is until I took a small plastic jackolantern and put it on for a Halloween layout, then it was perfect. I've got a set of pass car that are the same way, but I didn't think of using them..............

The "Hallow's Eve" passenger car lights flicker as part of their design. Not sure if I could stop it if I wanted. But I wouldn't.
Very nice, my wife sort of likes trains, but she loves Halloween. This might really get her interested, thanks for posting. If those were Halloween Dept 56, she really likes those too, in fact I think she has a few of them. All she needs now are some trains!

The buildings are Lemax, only the Pumpkin Water Tower is Dept 56. The engines and passenger cars Lionel. The rolling stock is a mix of Lionel and MTH/Railking. Glad you liked it!
