Old Railroad video's from the 1940-50 from my grandfather, while he was a member of Railroad Club of Southern California while he worked for SP.

This video include shots from Railroad Club of Southern California of Southern Pacific and a trip to Canada and The Chicago Railroad Fair in the 1940's.

Thanks everyone for you comment.

My grand father passed away before I was born. I converted the 8mm film to digital about 10 years ago.

My son help edit the video this week end.  Will have 3 more videos once we upload them.

My Grandmother, aunt and mom got me involved it trains with a Mark batterey power O27 set when I was 4 years old.

Fabulous. Reminded me of the California I knew and loved. The orange groves; Santa Paula; Ojai; Ventura.

Simply wonderful. Thank you!

Truly the most pleasurable aspect of watching old videos or looking at old photos.

Things seemed to have so much more character back then versus now.

Not a hint of "cinder block modern" big box store architecture or flying shoebox railroad equipment in those videos.
