Hey guys its been a while.

Nope.

I go through that sometimes, my acquisitions seem to occur in bunches then nothing for a while.  I have several other hobbies which sometimes take precedence.  I always come back to trains though.

As this thread is on the Real Trains forum, it is understandable why you may not have purchased any rolling stock recently unless you have really deep pockets!

It’s a hobby, not a job. You aren’t obligated to buy anything, or meet any specific goals. Need a break? Take one. 

 I go for long stretches without buying new trains. I often have more fun just screwing with the layout, or rearranging displays. Sometimes, I just sit in the recliner next to my layout, and watch TV. 

I stopped buying several years ago, aside from a few air force cars  I purchased for my airman son when he bought his own house. I realized I was caught up in the addiction of acquisition rather than operating or serious collecting. I have far more engines, rolling stock and accessories than I can ever operate at one time. I simply stopped receiving catalogs or looking at them online and am content to enjoy what I have. Any bugs or defects have been worked out long ago and I am not constantly fretting about the quality of new product, what engine or car they haven't made yet or what details they've gotten wrong on models ( I can't say I ever cared about that one anyway ). I now just simply enjoy what I have. 

I am starting to run out of space in my train room. I don't know how many cars I have. I probably don't want to know either. I have ended up with two cars exactly alike because I'll buy one and forget I have it and then buy the same thing again.

Well maybe its some thing that will past.Sooner or later I will come across a locomotive that may be second hand.Right now I thinking of redoing my layout.Thanks to all who reply here.

Not a problem since I only buy certain roads now. (Monon & CSS)  Make things easy to pass by.
