You guys are welcome. When i was a kid the local t.v. station.Had a show callwed carolina camera.1 show i rember good was a man who built trains from scatch. These trains i think they where o gauge. He had towns telephone poles beside the track. He maded his own controls. He had 2 steamers pulling a 100 car train. My grand dad abnd mother said to me."You love to have that."And i said "yeb" Wink
When I was a little guy as in about 3 years old or so, my dad had scratchbuilt in HO scale a SP 3800 class AC-9 which is a 2-8-8-4. It was on a shelf portion of his layout and my mom was holding me and since it was all nice and shiny brass, I reached out for it and knocked it to the floor. It hit with a thud and my dad told me later on in life that it literally made him sick to his stomach. He rebuilt it but he said it never ran the same after that and he ended up selling it. When I was in HO, I had a tip as to had it in thier collection but never had any luck contacting them. Sure wish I had it today. I never got into scratchbuilding brass although it did intrigue me. I'm 63 now and look at it as a skill I should have definitely learned. Scratchbuilding is a very satisfying part of the hobby.

Thanks again for the link.
