Hello all,
I'm expanding my layout, and one of my plans is to have a loose representation of the famous Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, PA as it appeared in the steam era. My question is, is there a shack similar to the one at the curve I can purchase, or would I have to scratch build it? Thanks.

Nothing at all similar to the stone maintenance shed is available commercially. A friend of mine (really good modeler) has offered to scratch build one for me. He took lots of photos the last time he was at the Curve. I can probably talk him into building another "while he's at it." E-mail me (address in my profile) if you're interested.
I looked at google and found a reference to a stone watchman shanty and tool house on the curve. Also a stone station at Kittanning. I hope to get more info on dimensions as both are interesting projects.
