Forumites....what would be maximum amount in terms of feet to run off one side of z4000 before you start to tax signal strength , does 5 14ft yard trks and a 35 foot stretch of main sound like too much ? thanks crj

One side of a Z4000 has plenty of power, the signal from the DCS might have an issue depending on the number of track joints and how many feeders from the TIU. I would just hook it up and see what happens. There is a whole lot more people on this forum that know more than I do. Try posting this on the DCS forum.

You should be able to run that, depending on how you've wired the yard. If it's star wiring, it should work fine.
im running 1 z-4000, 1tiu,using all 4 channels on about 1000' of track . i get almost all 10s on the signal stren. it runs 3-4 trains at 1 time if you dont get too crazy with engines,lighted passenger cars.-jim
