I just bought one of these on Amazon.com. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fKDRlP6SNc

Man, do I wish I would have had one of these years ago. It is the perfect tool for cutting plywood sub-roadbed. I have struggled many times to get nice clean curved cuts with my jig saw. This has a circular cutting bit which is no comparison to a recipricating saw blade that vibrates and is impractical if you are cutting ON your layout. This does not replace a router, but it is a model railroaders dream when it comes to layout routing, cutting and sanding.

When it comes to tools my rule of thumb is but good ones – That is why I still have 2 whole thumbs!
